The Calpeda MXV Series is the heavyweight of our Calpeda booster set range, built around MXV vertical multi-stage stainless steel pumps. These sets are designed for commercial and industrial buildings where flows and pressures go beyond what compact domestic sets can deliver. Think hotels, high-rise residential blocks, hospitals and industrial process water, where dependable pressure is not optional.
The range comprises twin and triple pump configurations using MXV 65 and MXV 80 pumps, all controlled by Calpeda’s IMAT variable speed system on a three phase 230/400V supply. Multiple pumps share the duty and cut in as demand rises, with the variable speed control holding outlet pressure steady across the full range of draw. The vertical multi-stage pump design delivers high pressures from a compact footprint, which matters in busy plant rooms.
Each set arrives as an assembled and tested package with stainless steel pumps, manifolds, valves and pressure vessel ready for connection. Connection sizes run from 4″ up to 6″ to handle serious commercial flow rates. The main differences are scale and pump design. MXV sets use larger vertical multi-stage pumps on three phase power with 4″ to 6″ connections, while MXH and MXP sets use smaller horizontal pumps for domestic and light commercial duties. If your building needs high flows at high pressure, MXV is the range to look at.
It comes down to peak demand and how much standby capacity you want. Twin sets suit most commercial buildings, sharing the duty with one pump able to cover if the other is down. Triple sets split the load three ways, which suits larger or more variable demand such as hotels and high-rise blocks.
