The Compatta range is Dreno’s answer to tight installations, and its small footprint is the whole point. These are the pumps you reach for when a residential sewage system, a waste tank or a small commercial wastewater setup simply has not got room for something bigger. Despite the size, the main body and impeller are GG20 cast iron, so nothing has been given away on durability to get there.
A vortex impeller sits back in the casing and moves liquid by creating a swirl, which means solids in suspension pass through with very little contact with the impeller itself. That is what lets a pump this compact cope with domestic sewage rather than just greywater. Discharge is 2 inch BSP threaded across the range, and every unit is supplied with cable ready to install.
You can choose manual models for use with an external level control or panel, or automatic versions with an integral float switch that starts and stops the pump on level. Single phase 230v and three phase 400v options run through the range, and Pro-EX variants are available where the installation calls for ATEX certification. Rated IP68 with a 20 metre immersion depth, these units handle liquids up to 40 degrees C within a pH range of 6 to 10.

It is built for residential sewage, domestic and commercial wastewater, and waste tanks where space is tight. The compact dimensions are the key selling point, letting the pump drop into chambers that will not take a larger unit.
The range uses a 2 inch BSP threaded discharge, which makes connecting into existing pipework straightforward. If you need flanged connections or a larger discharge, the Dreno DNA range is the one to look at instead.
Main components including the pump body and impeller are GG20 cast iron. It is a considerably more robust build than the plastic bodied pumps you often find at this size, and it is what allows the range to handle sewage rather than just clean water.
Yes, Pro-EX versions are certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Remember that the pump is only one part of the picture, so the wider installation and controls need to be specified appropriately too.
