Dreno has built submersible pumps for sewage and wastewater since 1990, and the range does exactly what the job asks of it without any fuss. Main components are GG20 cast iron throughout, body and impeller alike, which is why these pumps last in conditions that punish lighter builds. Vortex impellers keep solids away from the impeller face, so blockages and unplanned call outs become much rarer.
The Compatta range is the compact option, with threaded BSP discharge and a choice of manual or float switch operation, which suits residential sewage, waste tanks and smaller commercial installs. The DNA range steps up to flanged connections and larger discharge sizes for water treatment plants, municipal systems and heavier industrial duty. Both are rated IP68, run at immersion depths of up to 20 metres, and are offered in single phase and three phase across the sizes.
These pumps are at home in sewage treatment, site drainage, sludge removal, agricultural applications and emergency pumping, handling liquids up to 40 degrees C within a pH range of 6 to 10. ATEX rated versions are available across both ranges where the installation sits in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The main pump body and impeller are GG20 cast iron, which is what gives these units their working life in abrasive and aggressive wastewater. Seal faces use hard wearing combinations such as silicon carbide and ceramic, depending on the model.
Yes. The vortex impeller design sets the impeller back in the casing, creating a swirl that carries solids through with minimal contact, which cuts the risk of blockage considerably. Free passage varies by model and discharge size, so tell us what you are pumping and we will confirm the right one.
They are. ATEX certified versions are offered across both the Compatta and DNA ranges for installations in potentially explosive atmospheres, and they carry an EX suffix in the model designation. Do check that the rest of your installation is specified to suit.
