Flux IBC emptying pumps solve a problem every site with stacked or racked IBCs runs into: there is no room above the container to fit a conventional vertical drum pump. Instead of reaching in from the top, these pumps mount horizontally onto the IBC outlet itself. The whole unit is only 136mm long and weighs about 1.2kg, so it takes up almost no space and is easy to move between containers. Where ceiling height is tight, this is the answer.
Connection is via the standard S60x6 outlet thread using a union nut, so no adapters or suction pipework are needed on a standard IBC. That direct mounting also improves performance compared with a top mounted pump, because there is no long suction path to overcome. Discharge is a 1 1/4 inch connection for straightforward hose fitting. The pump splits into two parts via a clamp for cleaning and service.
Most people default to opening the IBC tap and letting gravity do the work, which is slow and gives you no head at all. This pump moves considerably more liquid per minute and can lift product into an elevated container or push it a useful distance along a pipe run. Stainless steel construction handles solvents, salt solutions and petroleum products, and the mechanical seal keeps the shaft out of contact with the liquid except at the rotor. Check the certification listed against a specific pump set before using it on flammable products.

Because sometimes you simply cannot get at the top of the container. Stacked IBCs, low ceilings and racking all rule out a vertical drum pump. A horizontal pump mounts on the outlet at floor level instead, which sidesteps the access problem entirely.
It connects to the standard S60x6 outlet thread using a union nut, which is the common fitting on 1,000 litre IBCs. Adapters are available for other unpressurised tank and pipeline outlets. If you are unsure about your container, send us a photo of the outlet and we will confirm.
Gravity draining is slow and offers no delivery head, so you cannot lift product or push it any distance. This pump moves a much greater volume per minute and can transfer into a higher container or along a pipe run. For anything beyond filling a bucket underneath, it is a significant improvement.
The MINIFLUX pump itself is available in versions rated for hazardous areas, but the certification depends on the complete assembly including the motor. Check the certification shown against the specific pump set you are looking at, and speak to our team before using any pump on a flammable duty.
