The Lowara Ecocirc D5 Solar is a DC-powered pump designed to connect directly to small photovoltaic panels (12V or 24V) without requiring AC mains power. With integrated Maximum Power Point (MPP) tracking, the pump automatically optimises its operating point every three seconds to deliver consistent circulation throughout the day, even under varying light conditions.
The D5 Solar features an innovative shaftless spherical motor with a hemispherical rotor sitting on a ceramic bearing ball and no conventional shaft seals. This design eliminates wear concerns, delivering quiet operation and maintenance-free service life. The soft start algorithm enables operation at very low solar insolation (less than 1 watt), so it circulates even on cloudy days.
With a maximum flow of 1.4 m³/h and a maximum head of approximately 3 meters, the D5 Solar is designed for thermal solar heating systems in single-family homes. Available in brass (95 Degrees Celsius maximum) or Noryl plastic (60 Degrees Celsius maximum) housings with 1/2″ female or 1 1/4″ male threaded connections.

Yes, the D5 solar is specifically designed for direct connection to PV panels; integrated MPP tracking automatically optimises performance as sunlight varies throughout the day.
The D5 solar operates between 8-24 volts, compatible with both 12V and 24V photovoltaic panel systems without external voltage regulators.
The D5 solar delivers up to 0.45 m³/h with maximum heads to 5 meters, suitable for thermal solar water circulation and low-pressure circulation applications.
Brass housing models handle fluid temperatures to 95°C; Noryl plastic models are limited to 60°C maximum; select based on your system’s temperature profile.
