The PQA is the answer when rust would otherwise be a problem. Its pump body is made from PPS, also known as Ryton, together with brass, so it is non-ferrous throughout and guards against the rust and oxidation that slowly eat a cast iron pump on a wet, warm duty. Everything else follows the familiar peripheral pattern: compact, high head, modest flow, clean water.
That corrosion resistance is exactly why the PQA sits in industrial applications such as cooling, air conditioning and laundry or washing systems. These are duties where the pump runs more or less continuously and where a ferrous pump would not last, so the non-ferrous build earns its place. It is a specialist choice rather than a general transfer pump.
Like the rest of the range it is for clean, non-aggressive water and should be installed somewhere sheltered. Single and three-phase options are available, and the pump is built for the kind of steady, day-in day-out running that cooling and laundry plant demand.

Its construction. The pump body is non-ferrous PPS (Ryton) and brass, which resists rust and oxidation far better than the cast iron used on the PK and PQ. That is the whole point of the range.
Industrial duties where corrosion is a risk: cooling circuits, air conditioning plant, and laundry or washing systems. It is built for continuous running in warm, wet conditions.
Yes. Non-ferrous does not mean it can handle dirty or aggressive fluids; it is still a peripheral pump for clean water without abrasives. The materials simply hold up better against oxidation over a long, wet service life.
On a continuous warm-water duty, a cast iron pump can corrode and lose performance over time. If your application runs constantly or sits in a humid plant room, the PQA’s non-ferrous build will generally last longer and stay reliable.
