The Jet series built its reputation as a no-nonsense surface pump for clean water. Its self-priming design clears air from the suction line and gets going without manual priming every time, which is a real convenience on a suction lift. Cast iron construction gives it the rigidity for continuous duty in a plant room or outbuilding.
Every model uses a cast iron pump casing with brass or technopolymer impellers, depending on the variant. Connections are BSP threaded, 1 inch on the Jet 1000 models and 1½ inch on the Jet 100 series, with 110v and 230v single phase plus 400v three phase available. The pumps suit clean liquids without suspended solids.
The Jet range is no longer in production, but plenty are still working away across the country. We keep the specification here so owners can identify what they have and understand its capabilities. Send us a model number or a photo of the nameplate and we’ll help with spares or a modern equivalent.
If your questions have not been answered here, get in touch with our team for more information.
The design retains liquid inside the casing, letting the pump expel air from the suction line and establish flow without manual priming. That’s particularly useful where the pump sits above the water source.
No, these models are no longer manufactured. The specification stays here so existing owners can confirm what they have, and our team can advise on spares or a current equivalent.
Pressure booster systems, washing and washdown, and garden or field irrigation are the classic uses. They were never intended for solids-bearing, abrasive or chemically aggressive liquids.
A comparable self-priming centrifugal will usually cover the same duty without reworking your pipework. Send us your flow, head, connection size and power supply and we’ll match it closely.
