The PGA is Pentair’s self-priming liquid ring pump for diesel, and the one most people choose when the pump is staying put. Plumbed into a storage tank and dispensing point, it becomes the heart of a farm or depot refuelling setup. Its liquid ring design copes with the air that inevitably finds its way into fuel suction lines.
The PGA 40-30 delivers up to around 40 litres per minute through a ¾ inch connection, suiting smaller tanks and lower-volume dispensing. The PGA 60-40 steps up to roughly 60 litres per minute through a 1 inch connection, cutting fill times on larger machinery. Each comes as an M model for 230v single phase or a T model for 400v three phase.
Cast iron to EN GJL 200 forms the pump casing and motor bracket, with a brass finned impeller and AISI 416 stainless steel shaft. A graphite mechanical seal on a ceramic counterface does the sealing, with an NBR O-ring and a safety tube for any leakage. Rated to 6 bar and 50°C with a 5 metre suction lift, it’s built for dependable daily service.

Yes, it uses a self-priming liquid ring design developed specifically for diesel service. Fitting a foot valve helps it hold prime between uses.
No. It’s rated for diesel only, and using it for petrol, chemicals, water or any low flash point liquid creates a genuine fire and explosion hazard. Contact us for a properly rated alternative.
Farm diesel stores, small pumping stations, and purpose-built delivery and dispensing assemblies. Rated for continuous duty at 2,850 rpm, they handle regular daily use well.
