The Pentax 3S Series is a range of submersible multistage centrifugal pumps built specifically for 3 inch boreholes and wells. Their slim profile fits narrow casings where larger pumps simply won’t go, while still delivering solid performance for everyday water supply. They’re a popular choice for domestic boosting, rainwater collection and small-scale irrigation.
The pump shell, shaft and coupling are all stainless steel, giving good resistance to the minerals commonly found in well water. Impellers are Noryl and the diffusers are self-lubricating polyacetal, a combination that keeps wear low and running smooth. The range runs on single-phase 230v or three-phase 230/400v motors, with a 1 inch outlet across the board.
The 3S range spans lighter-duty models through to higher-head versions, so you can match the pump to how deep your water sits and how much pressure you need at the top. Maximum liquid temperature is 40°C, and the pumps tolerate a modest sand content, which suits typical well conditions. If you’re unsure which model you need, our team can help you work it out from your well depth and desired flow.

As the name suggests, these pumps are designed for 3 inch well casings. Always double check your borehole diameter against the pump’s dimensions before ordering.
Both. The range includes single-phase 230v models and three-phase 230/400v models, so there’s an option to match your power supply.
The 3S Series tolerates a modest amount of sand in the water, which suits most domestic and agricultural wells. Very gritty water will still shorten the life of any submersible pump, so it’s worth checking your water quality if you’re unsure.
