If you have seen a Yamada pump on a plant somewhere, chances are it was an NDP. This is the industrial workhorse range, and with 306 products listed here it is comfortably our biggest Yamada category. Sizes run from 1/4 inch all the way to 3 inch, with flow from around 13 litres a minute at the small end up to well over 800 litres a minute on the largest models. Whatever the duty, there is almost certainly an NDP that covers it.
NDP pumps use a completely non-lubricated main air valve working with independent pilot mechanisms, a design Yamada hold three patents on. The result is stall-free operation without ever needing to lubricate or pre-pack the valve, which removes one of the most common causes of downtime on air-operated pumps. Better still, the air valve is externally accessible, so it can be inspected or serviced without taking the pump out of the line.
This is where the NDP series really opens up. Wetted bodies are available in aluminium, 316 stainless steel, cast iron, polypropylene, PTFE, conductive PVDF and conductive acetal, with centre sections in aluminium, polypropylene or PPS. Diaphragms cover nitrile, EPDM, neoprene, FKM, Santoprene, TPE and PTFE. Porting is offered in BSP, flanged and combined flange and BSP arrangements, and ATEX variations are available.

We stock NDP pumps in 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch, 1 1/2 inch, 2 inch and 3 inch. Porting is available in BSP, flanged and combined flange and BSP.
It runs completely without lubrication, using a main air valve alongside independent pilot mechanisms to control the air logic. Yamada hold three patents on the design, which is specifically engineered to avoid stalling throughout the pump’s life. It also never needs pre-packing or lubricating, which removes a common maintenance headache.
Many of these pumps carry an ATEX rating. Combined with a conductive body material where static is a concern, that makes them a common choice for solvent and fuel handling. Confirm your required zone and equipment category with us before ordering.
Bolted construction holds the wetted chambers together with bolts rather than a single clamping band. It eliminates the leak paths that clamp band pumps develop when reassembly is even slightly misaligned, which is a frequent cause of repeat rebuilds. In practice it means a pump that goes back together correctly first time after a diaphragm change.
