Ebara MD Series Centrifugal Pump

EN733 Cast Iron Monobloc End-Suction Pumps

The Ebara MD and MMD are EN733 standardised cast iron monobloc centrifugal pumps available with 2 and 4 pole high-efficiency motors. The key difference between the two is the impeller material, the MD uses an AISI 304 stainless steel impeller for improved corrosion resistance, while the MMD and MMD4 use a cast iron impeller for a more cost-effective solution in standard clean water duties.

Back Pull-Out Design and Performance

Both the MD and MMD feature back pull-out design, allowing the motor block to be removed for maintenance without disconnecting the pump body from the pipework. The range delivers flow rates up to 600m³/h and total heads up to 92.7m, with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar. IE2 motors are fitted from 0.75 to 5.5 kW, with IE3 from 7.5 kW upwards.

Wide Application Range in Civil and Industrial Settings

The MD and MMD are suited to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, water supply for civil, agricultural, and industrial plants, pressurisation, firefighting, irrigation, and washing systems. Counterflange kits in galvanised steel or AISI 316 are available from TF Pumps to complete the installation.

The MD uses an AISI 304 stainless steel impeller for better corrosion resistance. The MMD and MMD4 use cast iron impellers, making them a cost-effective option for standard non-aggressive clean water duties.

The MMD4 is the 4-pole version of the MMD, running at lower speed (approximately 1450 rpm) for reduced noise and lower flow/higher efficiency at the operating point compared to the 2-pole MMD.

The range suits HVAC systems, civil and agricultural water supply, industrial plant supply, pressure boosting, firefighting, irrigation, and washing systems.

Maximum working pressure is 10 bar across the MD and MMD range.
