Aro Speciality Pumps are a range of air-operated diaphragm and submersible pumps engineered for applications that standard pumps cannot handle reliably. Each series is configured for a specific duty, covering powder transfer, sanitary processing, high-pressure delivery, fuel transfer, solids handling, dewatering, and abrasive fluid duties. The range spans ports from 1/2″ to 3″ across aluminium, cast iron, and stainless steel constructions.
Every speciality series is built on Aro’s proven air-operated diaphragm platform, featuring the patented SimulShift valve and unbalanced air valve for stall-free, non-icing operation. Diaphragm and seat materials include Santoprene, PTFE, Nitrile, TPE, and FKM to suit different fluid chemistries and temperatures up to 107°C. Many models carry ATEX approval, and sanitary variants meet FDA CFR 21.177 compliance for food and pharmaceutical use.
Speciality Pumps are designed for low maintenance with modular, bolted construction that simplifies servicing compared to band-clamp alternatives. Air operation allows safe use in hazardous or flammable environments, and every model can run dry without damage. All Aro Speciality Pumps supplied through TF Pumps include full technical backing, genuine service kits, and expert application advice.

Speciality pumps are built for a specific type of application rather than general fluid transfer. The Aro speciality range covers duties such as powder handling, sanitary processing, high-pressure delivery, fuel transfer, solids-laden dewatering, and abrasive flap-valve applications. Each series uses materials and port designs tailored to that duty.
TF Pumps supplies the full Aro speciality range, including Powder Pumps, Sanitary Transfer Pumps, High Pressure Series, Fuel Transfer, Flap Valve, Pit Boss Mining Pumps, and Dewatering submersibles. Standard Pro and PW series pumps are listed separately under the main diaphragm pump category.
Many models in the fuel transfer, high pressure, pit boss, and sanitary ranges carry ATEX certification for use in explosive atmospheres. Approvals vary by configuration, so it is best to confirm the specific pump code matches your zone requirements before ordering.
Yes. Flap Valve pumps handle solids up to 51mm, Pit Boss mining pumps handle up to 25.4mm, and dewatering submersibles manage debris-laden water on construction and mining sites. Each range is matched to a particular solids size and abrasion profile.
