Rugged Air-Powered Submersibles For Site Dewatering

The Aro Dewatering range comprises the P35 and P237 submersible sump pumps, designed for efficient water removal on construction, mining, and industrial sites. These air-operated submersibles deliver flow rates up to 870 LPM and handle debris up to 6.4mm without clogging. Cast iron construction and a simple, low-moving-part design make them reliable in punishing site conditions.

High Flow With Minimal Maintenance

Available in 2″ and 2 1/2″ port sizes with BSP or NPT connections, these pumps operate at a maximum air pressure of 90 PSI. With no electric motor to seal or service, the pumps can run submerged for extended periods without overheating or risk of electrical failure. Minimal moving parts translate directly into less downtime and lower running costs across multi-site operations.

Portable And Intrinsically Safe

Because they are pneumatically driven, Aro dewatering pumps are intrinsically safe for hazardous or flammable environments where electric submersibles are unsuitable. Their lightweight cast iron build makes them easy to move between pits, sumps, and work areas as site requirements change. Every pump is supplied through TF Pumps with full technical support and access to genuine Aro spares.

An air-operated submersible uses compressed air rather than an electric motor to drive the pumping mechanism below the water surface. This eliminates the risks of electric shock, motor burnout, and seal failure that affect electric submersibles. The pumps can also run dry without damage.

Both the P35 and P237 ranges are rated for solids up to 6.4mm. For larger debris or heavier sediment, the Aro Pit Boss mining range handles solids up to 25.4mm and may be a better fit for dirtier dewatering duties.

The P35 is a 2″ ported pump delivering up to 870 LPM, while the P237 is a larger 2 1/2″ ported pump at 757 LPM but with a different hydraulic profile suited to higher-head applications. Both are made of cast iron and share the same solid-handling capability.

Yes. Genuine Aro service kits and spare parts are available through TF Pumps for all current dewatering models. We recommend keeping a diaphragm service kit on site.
