The Aro Pit Boss 66M series is a range of air-operated diaphragm pumps built specifically for mining, construction, and heavy industrial dewatering. Available in 1 1/2″, 2″, and 3″ ports, the range delivers flow rates from 302.8 LPM up to 821.3 LPM and handles solids up to 25.4mm on the 3″ model. Aluminium construction with carbon steel hardware gives the right balance of portability and site durability.
Every Pit Boss pump uses Aro’s patented unbalanced air valve to eliminate stalling and freezing, even under low air supply pressures. A screened inlet keeps large debris out of the pump chamber, while comfort grip handles make the pumps genuinely portable across site. Diaphragm options include Nitrile, TPE, and Santoprene to match temperature and fluid conditions up to 107°C.
All Pit Boss models are ATEX rated for hazardous environments and feature one-way check valves on the air exhaust that allow the pumps to be submerged in the fluid being pumped. Maximum fluid pressure is 120 PSI. Bolted construction simplifies field repair compared to band-clamp rivals, and genuine Aro service kits are available through TF Pumps for every model.

The Pit Boss 66M series is designed for mining, construction, and industrial dewatering where reliability, portability, and solids-handling matter more than high discharge pressure. It shifts large volumes of dirty water, slurry, and sludge quickly and recovers sumps that other pumps stall on.
The 1 1/2″ model handles solids up to 12.7mm, the 2″ up to 19.1mm, and the 3″ up to 25.4mm. A screened inlet keeps anything larger out of the pump so the diaphragms and valves are protected from damaging debris.
Yes. One-way check valves on the exhaust port allow Pit Boss pumps to be submerged in the fluid they are pumping. This is particularly useful in deep sumps, flooded pits, and underground mining applications where suction lift is not practical.
Compressed air is commonly available on mining sites and is intrinsically safe for use around flammable gases, dust, and other hazards. Air-operated pumps run dry safely when sumps run out, eliminating the burnout risk that affects electric submersibles.
