Aro Sanitary Transfer Pumps are air-operated diaphragm pumps built for food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical applications where product purity is critical. The range includes the PM05, PM10, PM15, PM20, PM30, and SD20 series with Tri-Clamp porting from 1/2″ to 3″ and flow rates from 45.4 LPM up to 1041 LPM. Every pump is fully FDA CFR 21.177 compliant and configurable to your exact process needs.
All sanitary models feature electropolished stainless steel wetted surfaces, with the SD20 upgrading to 316L stainless steel for the most demanding hygiene duties. Diaphragm options include Santoprene, Medical Grade Santoprene, and PTFE to suit specific fluid chemistries and CIP regimes. Maximum temperature is 107°C with fluid pressures to 120 PSI and ATEX approval across the range.
The SD20 series adds a Quick Knock Down compression clamp system that significantly reduces cleaning and changeover time compared to conventional bolted designs. Combined with the food-grade certifications and gentle fluid handling characteristics of AODD technology, these pumps protect product quality from sauces and purees to personal care fluids and pharmaceutical intermediates.

The Aro sanitary range is fully FDA CFR 21.177 compliant for food contact, and every model carries ATEX approval and food grade/sanitary certification. Wetted surfaces are electropolished stainless steel to meet hygiene requirements in food, beverage, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical production.
The PM series is the standard sanitary line, available from 1/2″ through 3″ with Tri-Clamp ports. The SD20 adds a Quick Knock Down compression clamp system on a 316L stainless steel body, designed for faster cleaning and changeover in high-cycle production environments.
Medical Grade Santoprene is the most common choice for food, beverage, and cosmetic transfer because it combines flex life, FDA compliance, and chemical resistance. PTFE and PTFE/Santoprene combinations are used where stronger chemical resistance is needed, such as for acidic or sanitising fluids during CIP.
Yes. Electropolished stainless steel construction and compatible diaphragm materials allow in-place cleaning with standard caustic and acid CIP solutions. The SD20 series with its Quick Knock Down clamps also supports faster manual disassembly for deep cleaning between product runs.
