The Aro Drum Pump range is a series of factory-matched 1/2″ air-operated diaphragm pump packages designed to transfer fluids from 55-gallon drums and similar containers. Flow rates reach 45.4 LPM on metallic models and 54.5 LPM on non-metallic versions, with a maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI. Each package combines a diaphragm pump, bung adapter, siphon tube, weather seal, and base for ready-to-use installation.
Drum pumps are supplied in three configurations: Basic (pump and core fittings), Complete Transfer (basic plus fluid hose with non-drip nozzle), and Complete Dispensing (basic plus foot valve, hose, and dispensing nozzle). Body materials include aluminium, stainless steel, and polypropylene to suit different fluid chemistries. ATEX Zone 0 and Zone 20 certified configurations are available for use in flammable or explosive environments.
Every drum pump uses Aro’s patented unbalanced air valve to eliminate stalling, even at low air-inlet pressures, and bolted construction provides leak-tight integrity over the pump’s working life. The 1:1 ratio design with 0.15 litre per cycle displacement gives precise, controllable transfer for batching and dispensing.

An Aro Drum Pump is a complete air-operated diaphragm pump package designed to transfer fluids out of 55-gallon drums or similar containers. Each package combines the pump itself with a bung adapter, siphon tube, weather seal, and base, so it’s ready to install on the drum without sourcing extra fittings.
The Basic package is the pump plus core fittings for connection to your existing setup. The Transfer package adds a fluid hose with a non-drip nozzle for general fluid movement. The Dispensing package goes further with a foot valve, hose, and dispensing nozzle for accurate, on-demand pouring of solvents, oils, and chemicals.
Maximum flow is 45.4 LPM on the metallic models and 54.5 LPM on the non-metallic versions. Flow can be adjusted down using an air filter regulator for precise dispensing into smaller containers or batch-fill operations.
Yes, within limits. The pumps handle suspended solids up to 2.4mm in diameter. For dirty fluids or fluids containing larger particulates, consider Aro’s Pro Series or speciality ranges with greater solids-handling capacity.
