Three-Phase Industrial Vortex Impeller Pumps

The JST-SV range covers the larger three-phase 415V submersible sewage vortex impeller pumps in the JS Pumps catalogue. Flow rates run from the JST4SV up to 3,000 LPM on the JST75SV, with discharge outlets up to 4″. High-head variants such as the JST75H deliver up to 40m head on the same 4″ outlet. These pumps are designed for commercial, municipal, and industrial sewage and wastewater duties.

Robust Construction For Continuous Duty

JST-SV pumps use the same vortex impeller principle as the smaller single-phase JS-SV models, handling fibrous and stringy material reliably without clogging. Twin mechanical seals (carbon ceramic and silicon carbide) run in a lubricated oil chamber to extend life under continuous operation. The cast iron pump body and stainless steel hardware are sized for industrial use.

Guide-Rail Or Free-Standing Installation

The pumps are typically installed guide-rail mounted in a wet well for unmanned pump station service, with the discharge connected through a coupling foot at the base. Free-standing operation is also possible for portable or temporary applications. Manual versions are supplied for use with external control panels; automatic versions are factory-fitted with a Mac 3 float switch. Every pump comes with 10m of power cable.

Yes. The JST-SV is the standard JS choice for adopted and private pump stations because the three-phase motors handle continuous duty cycles, the cast iron build resists wear, and guide-rail installation supports unmanned operation. Duplex installations with two JST-SV pumps and auto-changeover control panels are common.

JST-SV pumps are 415V three-phase. They will not run on a 230V single-phase supply. For a single-phase-only installation, the smaller JS-SV range is the right choice instead.

Routine maintenance focuses on the impeller, mechanical seals, and oil chamber. Impellers should be inspected for wear and clearance, seals should be checked for leakage past the lower seal into the oil chamber, and oil should be replaced periodically. Pumps in continuous duty benefit from an annual service.

Yes. The vortex impeller design and large solids passage make the JST-SV range suitable for combined sewage including stormwater inflow, where dilution and surface debris can be heavy. For sites with regular rag accumulation, the JST-SK shredder range may be a better fit.
