Stainless Steel Self-Priming Jet Pumps

The Pedrollo JCR Range is a series of stainless steel self-priming jet pumps designed for domestic water supply, well-point abstraction, and pressure boosting applications where the pump must draw water from below pump level. The integrated jet ejector assembly creates the vacuum needed for self-priming, while the AISI 304 stainless steel pump body and impeller give corrosion resistance and a clean construction suitable for potable water service. Manometric suction lift is up to 9 metres.

JCR1 And JCR2 Models, Single And Three-Phase

The JCR range includes the JCR1 series (lower flow, models JCRm1A/B/C single-phase and JCR1A/B/C three-phase) and the JCR2 series (higher flow, JCRm2A/B/C single-phase and JCR2A/B/C three-phase). Flow rates reach up to 85 L/min (5.1 m³/h) on the JCR2 with heads up to 60m, and the JCR1 covers smaller-flow domestic duties with comparable head capability. All models use 1″ BSP threaded ports.

All-Stainless Construction For Demanding Duties

The JCR’s stainless steel construction extends to the pump body, backplate, and impeller, all in AISI 304, with a Noryl FE1520PW nozzle assembly. The motor shaft is stainless steel EN 10088-3 1.4104. This combination handles continuous-duty operation in well-point and abstraction applications where cast-iron bodies would corrode over time. Maximum working pressure is 6 bar, with liquid and ambient temperature limits of -10°C to +40°C.

A self-priming jet pump combines a centrifugal pump body with an integrated jet ejector that creates the vacuum needed to draw water up the suction line during priming. This allows the pump to start from a dry suction line without manual priming, making it ideal for shallow well, borehole, and below-grade tank abstraction applications.

The JCR range includes the JCR1 series (smaller, lower-flow models) and the JCR2 series (larger, higher-flow models). Single-phase models carry the “m” suffix (JCRm1A, JCRm1B, JCRm1C, JCRm2A, JCRm2B, JCRm2C) and three-phase models drop the “m” (JCR1A through JCR2C). Power and head increase up the A/B/C suffixes.

The JCR uses an all-stainless AISI 304 pump body, backplate, and impeller, while the JSW1 and JSW2 use a cast iron pump body with cataphoretic treatment. The JCR is the right choice for potable water, corrosive water, and longer-life applications; the JSW1/JSW2 is more cost-effective for general domestic use.

Manometric suction lift is up to 9 metres on the JCR, which is exceptional for any centrifugal-family pump. This makes the JCR suitable for drawing water from wells, boreholes, and below-grade tanks where the water level is several metres below the pump.

Yes. The all-stainless AISI 304 construction makes the JCR suitable for potable water installations, well and borehole abstraction for domestic supply, and rainwater harvesting where the harvested water needs treatment before use. The stainless construction resists corrosion that would affect cast-iron alternatives.
