Pedrollo PK Range - The Cast Iron Workhorse Of The Peripheral Range

The PK is Pedrollo’s everyday peripheral pump and probably the one you have come across most. It has a cast iron body, a brass impeller and a patented motor bracket with a brass insert that helps stop the impeller seizing if the pump has been standing idle. It is built for clean water and steady, undramatic duties rather than anything heavy.

Where It Earns Its Keep

Typical work for a PK is general water transfer, feeding small pressure sets and irrigating gardens, allotments and smallholdings. Its strength is getting useful head out of a compact, affordable unit, so it suits light commercial and agricultural jobs where you need pressure more than volume. The common PK 60, for example, gives you up to around 40 metres of head, with larger models in the range going further.

Simple To Live With

There is not much to fuss over with a PK. It runs on clean, non-aggressive water, comes in single or three-phase, and should be installed somewhere sheltered. Keep the suction clean and it will quietly get on with the job for years.

Clean water transfer, pressure boosting with small pressure sets, and garden, orchard or allotment irrigation. It is a general-purpose peripheral pump for jobs where you need head from a compact unit rather than high flow.

A cast iron body, brass impeller and stainless steel shaft, with a patented bracket carrying a brass insert that reduces the risk of the impeller seizing. It is a solid, conventional build aimed at long, reliable service on clean water.

High head and modest flow, which is the peripheral pump’s calling card. The popular PK 60 reaches around 40 metres of head, and the wider range covers different duty points, so it is worth matching the model to the head and flow you actually need.

No. The PK is strictly for clean water without abrasive particles. Grit or solids will wear the fine internal clearances quickly, so for dirty water you want a submersible drainage pump instead.
