The Nocchi Dominator is Pentair’s multistage submersible borehole pump, offered in 4-inch and 5-inch bodies. The Dominator 4 handles lighter domestic duties at up to around 115 litres per minute and heads to roughly 57 metres. The Dominator 5 pushes further, reaching 140 litres per minute and heads approaching 65 metres.
Dominator 4 pumps use acetal resin impellers with polycarbonate diffusers, a double mechanical seal, and a hydraulic system that resists sand. Dominator 5 pumps step up to 316 stainless steel impellers and diffusers for better resistance to wear and dry running. Both share a stainless steel casing, suction screen and integrated non-return valve.
AUTO models arrive with a float switch fitted; MAN models are manual and can be paired with a pressure controller later. Everything runs on 230v single phase and discharges through a 1¼” BSP female outlet, with Dominator 4 units supplied with 20 metres of cable and nylon rope. Keep them to clean water at up to 40°C.

Body diameter is the main difference: the Dominator 4 fits bores from 4 inches, the Dominator 5 needs 5 inches or more. The Dominator 5 also uses stainless steel hydraulics and reaches higher flows and heads, so it’s the more robust pick where your bore allows.
Dominator 4 models use acetal resin impellers with polycarbonate diffusers, keeping them light and cost-effective. Dominator 5 models use 316 stainless steel impellers and diffusers for extra wear and dry-running resistance.
MAN indicates a manual pump with no float switch fitted. AUTO indicates a float switch is included for automatic level control, which is useful in tanks where you want protection against running dry.
The hydraulic system is designed to resist the corrosive action of sand, and the suction screen filters larger debris. It’s still rated for clean water only, so persistent sand loading will shorten its life.
