TF Pumps supplies Apex centrifugal pumps and spare parts. Apex Fluid Engineering design and build every pump at their site in Bristol, casting in their own ISO 9001 foundry, which means shorter supply chains and genuine flexibility on materials and configuration compared with an off-the-shelf import.
Apex produce a broad set of centrifugal ranges covering general water duties through to heavy process work: TD, TC, ISF, ISFC, API, TVL, ESL, HP/HV, EMF, HS, vortex and coating pumps.
The TD range is the workhorse. It uses a back pull-out design for maintenance access, conforms dimensionally to DIN 24255, complies with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, and covers discharge sizes from 32mm to 250mm. Pumps can be supplied bareshaft or with IE3 motors, and semi-open vortex impellers are available where solids are present. Almost any single, double or cartridge mechanical seal can be fitted, along with packed gland options.
Typical duties include water supply and potable water, cooling water, HVAC and heating circulation, seawater, aquaculture, oils, solvents and process chemicals.
Apex will develop new configurations against a specification rather than pushing you towards the nearest standard model, which is worth knowing if you are replacing something awkward. Their test facility is built to ISO 9906. They also support heritage pumps, so if you have an older Apex unit still running, parts can usually be supplied to original or upgraded specification.
